O Yan Do' Ne

O Yan Do' Ne was a legendary moose that roamed around the land of 9th century Vinland. The general tale of O Yan Do' Ne was stated to be a moose that blowed its breath "to chill the young clouds as they float through the sky."[1]
History
In the 870s, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir travelled to Vinland to hunt down and assassinate Gorm Kjotvesson, the Maegester of the Wardens of War of the Order of the Ancients.[2] Along her journey in Vinland, Eivor came across the great creature in the area called Ioterio'tatteròn:ke, just north of the viewpoint of Teiotenontatase:ke. Upon entering its domain, Eivor startled O Yan Do’ Ne and the legendary moose began to attack the warrior. After a lengthy battle, Eivor had beaten and killed the creature.
