Medusa

Medusa was a Gorgon who was slain by the Mycenaean founder Perseus with a Sword of Eden.^[1]

During the Peloponnesian War, the Misthios, Kassandra, encountered the creature sometime during her adventures.^[2]

Greek legend popularly describes her as having had hair composed of live, venomous snakes and a visage so monstrous that all who beheld it were turned into stone. Owing to her ferocity, a rare heavy weapon acquired by the Medjay Bayek in Cyrene in 47 BCE was named after her.^[3]
