Kydonia

Kydonia was an ancient Greek polis on the northwest coast of the island of Crete. In the 6th century BCE, the city was re-founded by the Samians and is considered one of the oldest cities in Crete.

The city was also home to Kresilas, a sculptor known for his statue of the Athenian general, Perikles.[1]

Trivia
