Kosta was the blacksmith of the town of Opous in Lokris, Greece, during the 5th century BCE.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra was passing through the village when she met Supideo, who tasked her to recover his sword and shield. The sword was held by Kosta.[1]

Kosta agreed to return the sword if Kassandra fetched him some poppies from the forest by the Red Lake.[1]

Trivia

  • It is strongly suggested that Kosta is the biological father of Supideo.
