Jotunheim (Old Norse: Jötunheimr) was an aspect of Norse mythology considered to be part of the Nine Realms and the home of the jötnar, who were commonly referred to by humans as "frost giants".^[1] Its capital was Útgarðar.

Jotunheim is revealed to be located in North America, where it was ruled by the Greco-Roman Isu.

In the 9th century, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir would consume a mixture prepared by the shaman Valka in her hut which induced a hallucinatory state and sent her into a vision of Jötunheimr.^[1]
