Engine of History

They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me Engine of History. This article is about a subject that lacks an official name and is known only by its nickname, title, or alias.

He who increaseth knowledge, increaseth sorrow. This article contains spoilers, meaning it has information and facts concerning recent or upcoming releases from the Assassin's Creed series. The Engine of History was the proposed invention, concocted by the works of both the computer programmer, Countess Ada Lovelace, and a mysterious figure, the Magus. However, Ada cut off their letter correspondences once she realized their work led to an engine that would prove fatal and dangerous if constructed.. However, in 1851, the Magus sent thugs to apprehend Ada for her notes, but was stopped by the acrobat Pierrette Arnaud. For the next couple of years, a dying Ada gave Pierrette her notes about the invention and to find her friend, Simeon Price, to stop the Magus and her invention. Within two decades, Pierrette and Simeon ultimately kept the notes away from both the Magus and his Templar conspirators.
