Elpidios (born c. 423 BCE) was the son of the Spartan misthios Kassandra and her lover Natakas. Despite his young age, he was noted to have quite an appetite.[1]
Biography
Elpidios was born after 422 BCE, when Kassandra, Natakas, and Darius decided to stop running from the Order of the Ancients and settle in Dyme, Achaia.
As a result of his parentage, Elpidios had Spartan and Persian ancestry. His grandfather on his father's side was Darius, and on his mother's side his great-grandfather was Leonidas I of Sparta. Elpidios also inherited the Isu ancestry from his mother, and was also a hybrid (although the Isu-strand was less prominent).
