Davos was an Athenian man, and the older brother of Orneos, living during the 5th century BCE.

Around 431 BCE, Davos decided to move to Kephallonia. Orneos decided to follow him, but unfortunately, the ship he was sailing in was seized by the pirates working for the Cyclops of Kephallonia, and Orneos was imprisoned in Kleptous Bay. Sometime later, the misthios Kassandra found him and freed him, and witnessed the brothers' reunion.^[1]
