Entrance to the cave

The Cave of Pan was a natural cave located in southwest of the Heraion of Argos in Argolis, Greece. It was one of the caves dedicated to the Greek god of wilderness, Pan.

In around 431 BCE, Hippokrates set up a clinic outside the cave to treat his patients. Sometime later, the Spartan misthios, Kassandra, visited the clinic and explored the cave.[1]
