Beroe

Beroe was a Greek woman from Lalaia who lived during the 5th century BCE.
Biography
During the Peloponnesian War, Beroe was part of the hunting party consisting of her and Erykios, to be taught the ways of hunting in light of the recent Sons of Xerxes threat. Near the Kephisos Spring, they met the misthios Kassandra, who had been hired by the village's magistrate Periktione to defend the village. As Beroe and Erykios brought her up the mountain, they shared their the story of their village and how they obtained their daily source of food. Near the top of the mountain, Beroe and Eryikos followed Kassandra as she taught them the basics and displayed her mastery of the bow. After a brief period of hunting, they thanked the misthios before parting ways.[1]
