Thaleia the Talon Hand was a mercenary who operated in Greece during the 5th century BCE.

Biography

Thaleia was known to wear gloves to cover her finger nails which were sharp as an eagle's talons. There were even times when she would use those nails as weapons, especially as a last resort.^[1]

During the Peloponnesian War, a bounty was placed on Thaleia, and it was collected by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.^[2]
