The Temple of Apollo in the Arkadian highlands

The Temple of Apollo Epikourios [citation needed] was a temple dedicated to the Greek god Apollo located in Arkadia, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, finding the building under construction and occupied by military, as well as one of the Ainigmata Ostraka within.[1]

Trivia

  • επικούριος (Epikourios) is the Greek word meaning 'helper, assistant'.
  • Iktinos, the architect of Parthenon in Athens, is regarded as the designer of this temple, too.
  • This location is only marked as Temple of Apollo on the in-game map.
