The Temple of Apollo Epikourios was a temple dedicated to the Greek god Apollo located in Arkadia, Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, finding the building under construction and occupied by military, as well as one of the Ainigmata Ostraka within.[1]
Trivia
- επικούριος (Epikourios) is the Greek word meaning 'helper, assistant'.
- Iktinos, the architect of Parthenon in Athens, is regarded as the designer of this temple, too.
