Sotera (died 431 BCE) was a member of the Eyes of Kosmos branch of the Cult of Kosmos.

Biography

Sotera built a network of informants from sailors and beggars. During the Peloponnesian War, she commanded ships circling the Isle of Salamis, until she was told by her Sage, Nyx the Shadow, to call those ships home.[1]

The Sage also secured Sotera a warehouse in Megaris, so that she might have a place to convene with her network.[1]

It was rumored among the Eyes of Kosmos that the Sage bore a grudge against Sotera, due to her "hiding something" from her. One of Sotera's fellow members sought to warn Sotera, and urged her to escape before the "the other child of the bloodline" could find her. Ironically, the letter instead helped the Spartan misthios Kassandra find Sotera, and kill her, retrieving a clue to the identity of the branch's Sage.[2]
