The Porneion was a district dedicated to prostitution located in Korinth in Korinthia, Greece. Like usual, it was located near the agora of Korinth.
Within the Porneion was located both Anthousa's home as well as the Leader House. At the center of the district was the statue of the goddess Aphrodite, canopied, holding a golden apple.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the place while looking for the hetaerae, especially Anthousa.[2]
