"Kassandra! Get over here, you spineless jellyfish, you!"
―Photios

Photios was a Kephallonian mercenary and a friend and a mentor of the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who lived during the 5th century BCE.

Sometime before 431 BCE, Photios retired from the mercenary life, and ended up in the Sanctuary of Delphi in Phokis, working as a guard of a treasury. However, a group of priests led by Amyris managed to steal precious sapphires. Considering himself too old to hunt them down, Photios enlisted the help of Kassandra when he happened to see her at the Sanctuary.[1]
