Anteros is the Greek god of requited love, and the avenger of unrequited love. He is regarded as a son of Ares and Aphrodite, and as such, is the brother of Eros, Adrestia, Phobos, Deimos and Harmonia.
Anteros, like his brother Eros, is part of Erotes, a group of winged gods associated with love and sexual intercourse in Greek mythology.
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the altar dedicated to Anteros and Eros.[1]
