In 1870, the British Assassin Simeon Price and the brothers Jules and Fabrice Sabourin hid in a motel in the city from shooters after they cut a German telegraph line. However, it proved useless when war was announced. Vowing to keep them safe,[1] Simeon began to teach them survival tactics. When the Sabourins' father came for his boys, both brothers came out of hiding, thanked Simeon for their training, and planned to fight for their hometown against the invading Prussians.[2]
