Methiadusa was a Greek woman who lived in Lalaia in Phokis, Greece during the 5th century BCE.

Methiadusa was the daughter of the village's blacksmith, with her brother serving as the apprentice. She would often perform errands for her father, helping him to obtain wood, or recover Aphrodite Ore from a cave in Malis. When the Peloponnesian War broke out, Methiadusa's father and brother were enlisted to serve in the war. Methiadusa's mother later passed away at one point.[1]
A year later, the village came under threat by the Sons of Xerxes, a group of Persias who remained in Greece after the Battle of Thermopylae.[2] With the absence of her father and brother, Methiadusa was thus forced to take over their role as the blacksmith. Around this time, Methiadusa met the misthios Kassandra, who had been hired by the village magistrate, Periktione, to assist the village.
