Marathon Beach was a region of Attika, Greece.
History
In 490 BCE, the Battle of Marathon was fought in the region.
During the Peloponnesian War, the misthios Kassandra explored the area.[1]
Trivia
- According to a Greek myth, Theseus slew the Marathonian Bull in the region, as told by Barnabas.
