Lake Abythos

Lake Abythos is the only lake on the Greek island of Kephallonia. Situated near the ancients ruins of the city Pronnoi, the lake is said to be so deep that it has led many to believe that it has no bottom.

In 431 BCE, the lake was visited by the misthios Kassandra, who solved an Ainigmata Ostraka and recovered an engraving there.[1]
