Kydonia

Kydonia is an ancient Greek polis in the Little Egypt region of Messara.

History

In the 6th century BCE, the city was re-founded by the Samians and is considered one of the oldest cities in Crete.

The city housed the home of Kresilas, a sculptor known for his statue of the Athenian general Perikles.[1]
