Koressia was ancient Greek city-state located on the northwestern coast of Keos, in the area known as Pirate's Revenge. Situated close to Attika on the northwest side of the island, the city could be reached from Athens in 24 hours.

It's wealthy economic history was tield to its silver mines and miltos used to paint triremes.

During the Peloponnesian War, the city served as the base of operation for Xenia, the leader of the pirates in Keos.[1]
