Iakkhos is a minor Greek deity related to the goddesses Demeter and Kore, and their Mysteries centered at the Sanctuary of Eleusis in Attika.
Influence[edit | edit source]
During the Peloponnesian War a shrine dedicated to the deity was raised near the docks of Poiessa Village within Lion Hill region on the island of Keos. Despite the dedication, the site bore the statue of the goddess Demeter.[1]
