Hermippos (died 431 BCE) was a member of the Eyes of Kosmos branch of the Cult of Kosmos, operating in Athens, Greece during the 5th century BCE. He was son of Lysis and brother of Myrtilos.
Biography
Hermippos found his calling in life in theater and the Cult of Kosmos. The former helped him in the designs of the latter, for Hermippos used the theater to influence the Athenians' and accuse Perikles, the leader of Athens, of weakness and cowardice.
When the Spartan misthios Kassandra set out to demolish the Cult of Kosmos, Hermippos became one of her targets.
