"I will follow Deimos to the Underworld, and bring my hordes with us."
―Harpalos[src]

Harpalos (died in 420s BCE) was a member of the Worshippers of the Bloodline branch of the Cult of Kosmos, and the leader of the Followers of Ares.

History

Sometime before the Peloponnesian War Harpalos found a group of the Followers of Ares hiding in tombs, and they welcomed him with open arms. His way of preaching appealed to the Followers, and he became their leader. Under him, the Followers gained the blessing of the Cult of Kosmos, and became an army for the Cult.[1]

At some point, another Worshipper of the Blood sent a letter to Harpalos, asking him to come to Kythera Island.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra embarked on a quest to destroy the Cult. Finding a note on a Follower, Kassandra learned that Harpalos had fled to the Cave of Ares on the island of Keos. Eventually, she found him there and he fell to her blade.[1]
