Biography[edit | edit source]
During the said war, Galateia was part of a crew consisting of herself, Anaximander, Iaira and her brother Kittos sailing in the waters around Achaia. The ship they were sailing on carried a coffer containing a clay doll given to Xenia by her mother. At one point, the crew came under attack by an army faction from Achaia, who slained many of the pirates. As a result, Anaximander, Iaira, and Kittos were captured and brought to the Olouros Fortress while Galateia was able to escape capture.
Survivng the ordeal, Galateia fled and managed to return to Keos, where her wounds were tended to. There, she explained the details of what happened to Xenia and the misthios Kassandra, who accepted the request to retrieve the coffer and free the crew members.[1]
