The Fort Phyle was an Athenian military fort located in the Parnes Mountains of Attika, Greece.
History
In 431 BCE, the misthios Kassandra infiltrated the fort on the request of her old friend Heitor, whose' personal sword was "stolen" by the fort's commander. While doing so, she happened upon a conversation between several Athenian soldiers and learned that commander purchased Heitor's sword contrary to what she was told. Nevertheless, she was able to reclaim it from a chest while the commander was not around.[1]
At the same time, Kassandra also happened to find a letter addressed to Hermippos, a member of the Eyes of Kosmos branch of the Cult of Kosmos, written by his lover and informant, a captain of the fort.[2]
