The Dromos was a course for footraces in the polis of Sparta, Lakonia in the 5th century BCE.
At the dromos young Spartans were integrated into the city by offering sacrifices at the statue of Herakles when they reached adulthood.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the location.[1]
