Eventually, Podarkes sent Dianthe a letter telling her to stop visiting him, stop speaking about Kyra and her parentage. Apparently Dianthe didn't believe him, or else he decided to make sure she would not talk about any of it, and sent soldiers to Dianthe's home to kill Dianthe and Kyra. Dianthe was slain in front of Kyra, but the girl managed to flee.[1]
When the Spartan misthios Kassandra reached the Silver Islands and joined the rebels' cause, Otonia caught her attention and led her to learn about Kyra's past, including Dianthe.[1]
