The Desphina Fort in Phokis

Desphina Fort was a military stronghold located ín Phokis, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, finding one of the Ainigmata Ostraka within.[1]

Desphina Fort was also the place where Amyris, a priest of the Sanctuary of Delphi, intended to sell the precious sapphires he'd stolen from a treasury with his friends. Kassandra, at the request of Photios, her friend and former mentor, found the sapphires at the fort and returned them.[2]
