Causantin mac Cináeda (died 877), also known as Constantine I was the King of the Picts who reigned from 862 to 877.
Biography
During the Viking expansion, Causantin sent a letter to the warriors of Clan Dunbar, instructing them to scout the Danes occupying Northumbria for weaknesses.[1]
Caustantin's troops were ambushed by Ryce Sherwin, who had been robbing Caustantin's troops in Nottinghamshire to enrich the poor. Caustantin's warriors were defeated with the help of the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan.[2]
