A bounty was a contract set by an individual, who usually dictated the capture or death of a person. During the Peloponnesian War, mercenaries found and accepted these bounties from message boards across Greece. An example would be Kassandra the Eagle Bearer, who accepted bounties to build up her reputation or if they aligned with her own goals.[1]
