Goodwinlec as seen from the beach

Goodwinlec was an Anglo-Saxon farm build along the River Dee north of Deebury, protected by a few soldiers. In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn, and their raiding crew on his longship.[1]
