Dáinn, Dvalinn, Duneyrr, and Duraþrór were four male deer in Norse mythology. Named in the Poetic Edda, it says that they foraged on the leaves from Yggdrasil's hanging branches while Níðhǫggr gnawed the tree roots at their feet.[1]
Legacy and influence[edit | edit source]
In Asgard, Havi stumbled across Dáinn. After following him, the pair eventually met up with the other three deer. They continued their trek and led him to Eikþyrnir, who revealed a treasure chest.[2]
