Medon (died c. 48 BCE) was a commander of the Ptolemaic forces at Pissa Oros Citadel in the Isolated Desert of Egypt.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Around 48 BCE, during a raid on the rebel camp at Theos Elpis Rift, Medon noticed a young girl, Istellah, with a great shield she had retrieved from the ruined temple of Alexander the Great. Istellah refused to give it to him, so the commander abducted her along with the shield, taking them to Pissa Oros.[1]
According to Sebni, a rebel from Remetch Ra, Medon was an "angry bald man, surrounded by bodyguards". That was a description the Medjay Bayek of Siwa agreed with when he later hunted down Medon and killed him and his bodyguards.[1]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
