Ubisoft Connect logo

Ubisoft Connect, formerly known as Uplay or Ubisoft Club, is a service launched by Ubisoft in 2009 with Assassin's Creed II to provide an experience similar to the trophies or achievements offered by various other games companies. The service was provided across various platforms, being the PC, Mac, PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Wii U, Facebook, Android, iOS and OnLive.

Each Ubisoft Connect enabled game usually had four specific actions that can be accomplished, earning Ubisoft Connect points, which were referred to as "Units". Each action could grant from 5 to 40 Units, which could then be used to unlock game-related rewards. These Units were not bound to the specific games they were earned in however, and could be used to purchase rewards from any available Ubisoft Connect-supported game.

Players could also use the Assassin's Creed II – Web Battle portion of Ubisoft Connect to view a list of in-game statistics, and to receive additional web-based achievements and rewards.

In 2015, shortly after Assassin's Creed: Syndicate's release, Uplay was re-branded as the Ubisoft Club, which provided a similar service accessible through players' Uplay accounts. In 2020, shortly before Assassin's Creed: Valhalla's release, the service rebranded again as Ubisoft Connect and made countless rewards for old Ubisoft games free for all players.

Today, Ubisoft Connect now spans to multiple games published by Ubisoft, including franchises such as Tom Clancy, Far Cry, For Honor, and Watch Dogs.

Trivia

• On Xbox 360 and PS3, Uplay Actions correspond to achievements and trophies, respectively.
• In Brotherhood and Multiplayer Rearmed, the total Rewards Units required were greater than the Action Units offered, meaning that a player would have to forgo Rewards or play other Uplay games to gain enough Units. In contrast, the total Reward Units in Assassin's Creed: Recollection and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag were less than the Action Units offered.
• As of 2011, Assassin's Creed: Recollection is the only Uplay-enabled game that does not feature Rewards with a cost.
