Thyia was a woman living in the village of Lalaia in Phokis, and the sister of Lalaia's magistrate Periktione. She served as the village's acting general against the Sons of Xerxes during the Peloponnesian War.
Biography
After defending the village against the Persians Thyia lent her services to the Spartan misthios Kassandra on the Adrestia whenever she needed it.[1]

Trivia
- Thyia shares her name with a Naiad who consorted with the god Apollo, and with a Thessalian in Greek mythology.
