The Scorched Lands formed the middle region of the simulation of the Underworld. It connected to all other regions, including the Path to the Underworld.
One of the four regions in Hades, it featured a desolate landscape with dead flora and many ruins.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War, the misthios Kassandra explored the area within the simulation.[1]
