Tantalos, also known as Tantalus, was an individual in Greek mythology. He was the son of Zeus and the nymph Plouto.
Biography
Mythology
Tantalos is famous for his eternal punishment in Tartaros: fruit on branches of a tree in the middle of a pond were always just out of his reach, and when he bent over to drink water, the water disappeared.[1]
Simulation
Tantalos's fruit tree could also be found in Aletheia's simulation of the Underworld, protecting the solution to one of the Ainigmata Ostraka.[1]
