The Statue of Orestes

The Statue of Orestes was a statue revering the King of Sparta Orestes in the agora of the Village of Gytheion in Lakonia, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War the misthios Kassandra visited the statue while fulfilling the task of delivering the Spartan pankratiast Testikles to the Olympic Games at the order of Pausanias of Sparta.[1]
