The Sanctuary of Delphi is best known as the ancient home of an Oracle of Apollo. Located on the slopes of Mount Parnassos in Phokis, Northern Greece, Delphi houses the Temple of Apollo where people went to seek the Pythia.[1]
Due to the Oracle's presence, the Sanctuary of Delphi housed many gifts brought by people either seeking or thanking for the Pythia's guidance. These included, but were not limited to, the monuments of Epigones and Militiades, the Naxian Sphinx, the Korkyraean Bull, and Tripods of the Deinomenids.[2]
