The Pirate Island was a small island west of Boeotia and south of Mount Helikon, in the Korinthian Gulf. During the Peloponnesian War, it housed pirates.

Around 431 BCE, the pirates attacked the ship on which Tekton, a carpenter and a shipwright, was sailing on along with his brother. The pirates killed most of the crew and took Tekton's brother to the island, while Tekton was shipwrecked on the shores of the Isle of Thisvi. Sometime later, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found Tekton, and attacked the pirates on their island, saving Tekton's brother, though too late to save his life.[1]
