A view of the Pirate Hideout

The Pirate Hideout was a camp set up by pirates on the northern part of the island of Skyros, Greece, during the 5th century BCE.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, finding one of the Ainigmata Ostraka within.[1] Barnabas followed Kassandra into the camp, as the bandits were incapacitated by lotus flower wine. As Barnabas partook of the wine, Kassandra freed a woman.[2]
