Pasiphae was a queen of Krete in Greek mythology. The daughter of Helios and the nymph Perse, she was the wife of king Minos in Knossos and the mother of the Asterion, whom the Greeks called the Minotaur.
Biography
Cursed by the gods to fall in love with a bull, the queen ordered the inventor Daidalos to make a special cow suit for herself. This dalliance resulted in the birth of the Minotaur.[1][2]
