m Unfortunately, this and the bear in Jotunheim are not collectible in terms of their heads. Well, I hoped for this moose to be.

O Yan Do' Ne

O Yan Do' Ne was a legendary moose that roamed around the land of 9th century Vinland. It was named after the mythical beast of the same name in Iroquois folklore who personified the east wind that blew its breath "to chill the young clouds as they float through the sky" and was controlled by the wind spirit Gaoh.[1]

History

In 875, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan travelled to Vinland to hunt down and assassinate Gorm Kjotvesson, the Maegester of the Wardens of War sect of the Order of the Ancients.[2] Along her journey in Vinland, Eivor came across the great creature in the area of Ioterio'tatteròn:ke, just north of the viewpoint at Teiotenontatase:ke. Upon entering its domain, Eivor startled O Yan Do' Ne and the legendary moose began to attack the warrior. After a lengthy battle, Eivor killed the creature.[3]
