Mykonos City

Mykonos City, also called Chora, is the main settlement on the island of Mykonos, Greece.

The city was famous for its blue granite and abundant wells.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War the misthios Kassandra came to the town and explored it.[2]

Trivia

  • The word χώρα (khṓrā) means simply 'place', and was used as the colloquial name of multiple 'main towns' of varied Greek islands; this was because the Greeks named the main settlements the same as the islands.
