Medusa

Medusa was a Gorgon who was slain by the Mycenaean founder Perseus with a Sword of Eden.[1]

Greek legend popularly describes her as having had hair composed of live, venomous snakes and a visage so monstrous that all who beheld it turned into stone.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan mercenary Kassandra encountered the creature during her adventures.[2]

In addition, owing to her ferocity, a rare heavy weapon acquired by the Medjay Bayek in Cyrene in 47 BCE was named after her.[3]
