Medusa was a Gorgon who was slain by the Mycenaean founder Perseus with a Sword of Eden.[1]
Greek legend popularly describes her as having had hair composed of live, venomous snakes and a visage so monstrous that all who beheld it were turned into stone. Owing to her ferocity, a rare heavy weapon acquired by the Medjay Bayek in Cyrene in 47 BCE was named after her.[2]
