Anaximander was a cartographer who served as one of Xenia's crew during the Peloponnesian War.

Later at some point, Anaximander, alongside fellow crew members Galateia, Iaira and Kittos, were attacked by an army faction while sailing near Pellene. While Galateia was able to escape, Anaximander and the rest were captured and brought to the Olouros Fortress, along with a prized coffer in their possession. Xenia later sent the misthios Kassandra to free them and recover the coffer.^[1]
